After viewing several of the artists and their work, I came upon a piece by Kat Larsen that I really enjoyed. Most of her work seemed to be inspired by nature. There were a lot of greens, blues, purples, and pinks in her work and I feel that's what lead me to connect with it. I'm a big fan of flowers and one of her pieces seemed to incorporate flowers in a way that I felt was very interesting.
I thought her colors were very appealing. Some of her work featured colors on a black background, I thought this was a good way to make the colors stand out a little more to the viewer's eye. In most of her pieces, the colors are very free and fluid. It reminded me of water color almost. It was all very intriguing and I enjoyed viewing her work.
After reading her bio explaining how she made these images, she said she used "digital painting" where she exaggerated color. I wasn't aware digital painting even existed, I think it's beautiful and I'm eager to research more of her work.

This piece looks similar to a project we will be doing using Apophysis software....
