The artist that I found to be interesting this week after looking around the MOCA art gallery is Russell E. Cleversley. The reason that I found his work to be so interesting is that he only uses Photoshop to create his images, he does use things like scans or imports like some digital artist do. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with using those techniques, it’s just that I find it to be appealing because it is the same direction that I am hoping to eventually take my computer art to.
The other reason that his work appealed to me is because of the subject matter. I like that he focuses on real world situations. Which not only brings a level of realism to his art, but also adds to the impressiveness that all he uses is Photoshop for their creation. in his bio they mention that some of his images can take up to 300 hours to complete, that is a lot of man hours but the results totally speak for themselves. -

Nice find... I love the fact that you personally relate to his work and find inspiration from it... that's how artists works... to always look at other work then make it your own by doing it in your own way...
